Title: Came to our senses (split from Re: 2003 Foretravel U270 3610 (southern maine) No longer for sale!)
Post by: Dean & Dee on April 07, 2014, 08:48:36 pm
Well after spending a wonderful month and looking forward to another one in this coach we have come to our senses and decided to keep our "Porta-Palace" :D
We left the snow and ice of Maine thinking we would look around for a vacation home in Florida and realized that we already had it! Change addresses when we want, no lawns to mow, not tied to any silly HOA rules, and as Dee say's, we can drive our messy house home with all our stuff without worrying about what did we forget to bring or to do! :P
(she also predicted that even if the coach was gone I would be cruising the forum)

Have had several of you good people tell us that once it's gone it's gone and it will be hard to replace and we would regret it and we know that's true. Have had much interest in it especially lately and we apologize to those that heard "well, umm, err, not sure" when they contacted us. ::)

Not sure how to modify the topic etc. so if the moderators could help with that then thank you!

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know we can't seem to pry ourselves out of this coach and for better or worse we will be hanging out for the foreseeable future..... ;D

      Thanks, Dean & Dee

I did that with a truck about 10 years ago.

Good bad or ugly Linda and I are done with the sticks and bricks, and working by the end of the year. You can plan and plan we figure you just have to jump on in, and see where it lands.

Don't blame you, it's a beautiful coach. We looked at your ad and the pics, but it was out of our budget. RVing really is the best. Can't wait to get back on the road myself in a new-to-us Foretravel.

Linda

Oh, SO glad!!  I just kept thinking how sad you would be when it sold.  You are totally making the right decision!!

Yup...It's like a dog.  It becomes a part of the family after awhile (11 years with Forrest).  We've been thinking of downsizing for different travel for the past 3 years...Oh well...

We have exactly the vacation/retirement home we want. It's in the perfect location where we want to be at the moment, and then when we drive down the road we get to the next "perfect" location. The dirt inside is always our dirt, and we never need to worry about bed bugs left over from someone else. That perfect home is called our Foretravel!

Hi You Guys

That's great news. That keeps a FT in Maine and we get to keep some new found friends.

Leaving here in two weeks. Still lots of that white stuff on the ground but should get out OK.

Hope to see you down the road.

Norm
