I just bought some today. $39.99 - $7.00 = $32.99 for 3 gallons. It's a pretty good deal. Just paid $17 a gallon at O'Reillly's last month. Saw it today at Wally World for $12 something.

The Independent Garage Owners Assoc., still prefers Shell Rotella T6.

And I do to, but who is The Independent Garage Owners Assoc.?  The Rotella T6 gets excellent used oil analysis over at Used Oil Analysis - Bob is the Oil Guy - Bob is the Oil Guy (http://www.bobistheoilguy.com).

Most all of the States have a membership (Texas does anyway), you get a decal and news letter (too small an operation for a Magazine), where this sort of thing is a regular part of the disgusted agenda.  pc

Just make sure you don't use the multi grade on Detroit 2 cycles. Delo 100 #40 or other low ash oils (not Delo 400) only.

Yes.. They recommend a straight 30 or 40 weight for the old 6V92. It's a little harder to find but is still available. NAPA stocks it.

Don't worry Pierce I'm only using the 15-40w in the hydraulics not the 6v92. :))

If I buy 6 gallons, would that be enough for the isl400 plus powertech Kubota generator?

Ken,

Was just thinking about any new members with our engines. Looks like the bushings wore out letting the gears touch the sides. Probably a lot of metal particles in hoses.

Andy,

O'Reilly's has it also, latest next day. Several other low ash straight 40 are options. Rotella is borderline.
