Title: Aux air compressor & main 12 volt switch
Post by: Dan Stansel on May 14, 2014, 09:00:43 am
I have another dumb question but want to make sure.  Put the coach into storage and turned off the 12 volt switch by the entrance door.  Forgot to turn off the switch I installed on the aux compressor so it was left on.  Will the main 12 volt switch turn off the power to the aux compressor?? Seems that it should but it could be a direct wire.  DAN :o

I my be wrong, but I believe the power for the 12V air compressor comes from the panel on drivers side center compartment and not the dash panel.

In ours, the main 12V switch by the entry door does not control the power to the aux compressor.

Maybe I should go back and turn it off to keep it from coming on.  Never know if something could go wrong and it might continue to run.  Air leaks seem to always pop up somewhere. It has not been coming on very often since the last repairs.

Dan, you may want to go to the coach and check the 12VDC compressor to ease your mind. While there, do something to make the compressor run, then see if the "salesman switch" will turn it off.
