Title: Leece-Neville Alternator source
Post by: nitehawk on May 20, 2014, 09:43:53 pm
Don't know what good it might be, but I was talking to a neighbor down the street and told him about our alternator failing. His reply was to find a salvage yard that takes in school buses, as the school buses have L-N alternators.

Might be a source for anyone in a need for a quick replacement.

We need a three wire alternator not the two wire one that is on a school bus.  It could be rebuilt but then again so can ours.

Generally, it is not wise to cheap-out on important items like tires, batteries, alternators, brakes, but if like living with econ gear, the Foretravel was a poor choice ?
