Title: LED for Puck Lights
Post by: J. D. Stevens on May 29, 2014, 01:07:58 pm
What I have not found is a bright enough g4 base bulb to replace the halogen bulbs in the flush ceiling lights.

Roger
Roger, I've been pleased with G4-WWHP12-DAC from SuperBrightLeds.com. I've replaced all the lamps in the puck fixtures in our coach with them. I've found that they are a good replacement for 10W halogen G4 bulbs in puck lights. They have a similar color and appear to me to be slight brighter.

Remove the reflector assembly by popping it out with a screwdriver. Carefully bend the pins a bit to get the light to sit well in the remaining light assembly.

I replaced the globe lights in the bathroom with 1156-WW2W-CTAC.

I replaced several of the bay lamps with 1156-CW2W-CTAC.

None of the lamps were cheap. You can find similar lamps at lower prices. I was pleased with the selection, quality, and service from SuperBrightLeds. These lamps are all rated for a wide range of voltages. My understanding and observation is that they provide consistent illumination whether the supply voltage is 12.2 V or 14.2 V.

Thanks, I'll check them out.  These little puck lights are the only coach lighting left to change over to LED.  Everything else is done.  We like them.  I'm adding lights to several overhead compartment. I'm going to get into the basement bays next.  I'm adding lights to the aqua hot compartment and over the drawer in the LP bay.  I guess I haven't done the rope lights under the counters or at floor level.  They are rarely on.

There is always something to do.
