Title: Trace 4024 use?

Picked up a used good condition trade 4024 inverter/charger with a second control panel.

Versus sell it to an inverter repair guy who wants it can anyone tell me its advantage in an Rv?

Was taken out of a marathon converted giant truck trailer.  2004 date.  Not a plus.  Sw4024.

Easier for my buddy to switch to a 12v inverter system. 

If I had four batteries I understand the 24v might have advantages?

Some buses are 24volt. Is everything else 110v?

A number of bus conversions use a 24V house system. Most folks like either a 12V OR a 24V system although some use a 24V system and split off 12V for lights & whatever. If you do that, you will have to deal with equalizing your batteries and making sure you don't discharge 1/2 of your battery bank. It can be a pain.

If I didn't have a 24V system, I would probably try to sell that unit to someone converting a bus & use the money to buy myself a 12V inverter.

All of them are 120V AC output.

24 volt better voltage for starting the engine. A lot of trucks I worked on used 24 for starting and everything else was 12 volts. The way that is done is
using a series parallel switch. There is two 12 volt batteries that are in parallel and when it is started the starter is hooked up in series. We found when
the truck or any equipment is straight 24 the 24 volt head lights didn't last as long as the 12 volts. They may have fixed that as I haven't worked on 24 volt
systems for a long time

You are really bringing back bad memories!!  Those switches were the biggest pain in the neck! The last one we had was on a '54 Autocar. I was a happy camper to see that be upgraded to a straight 12 V system!
