Title: MOT or FOT
Post by: Yetch on July 01, 2014, 07:52:42 am
I am having to have my Sheppard Steering Gear replaced, which I already have.  I will be traveling 400 miles to get to Nac.  Who would do the better job for me?
Thanks,
Mike

See who can give you appointment time. Make sure that they know you are a member of this Forum ... There are fine mechanics at both locations, although Foretravel seems to be very heavily booked.  We always try the Factory first.  They actually BUILT the thing, after all!  The accommodations at Camp Foretravel are FAR superior to the limited space at MOT.  The security at FOT is excellent. If this is your first visit to Nac, you would do very well to see the Factory, meet the folks who work there that we all know and think highly of and sample the Pineywoods Hospitality.  Nac is really a very nice town ... I always have fun there!!  You can meet other owners and have a gathering at the Laundry Room Portico ... a "Pourtravel Happy Hour" session in the late afternoon/early evening (after the shop doors close) is something I look forward to.  If you need to do laundry, the combination will be made available to you, the electric power is good and water pressure is fine.  I like to back in next to the fence, and then I have a good shot at the free wifi from the laundry room.  Let us know how you make out!

Had great results with Wayne. @ FOT for steering leak repair over a year ago.

I would see who can take you in and what you want done.  All can do it.
