Title: Girrard G2 portable satalite dish - addition.
Post by: Carol & Scott on July 15, 2014, 12:32:05 pm
We have invested in a portable dat. dish that will be delivered today.  Was wondering how to hook it into the wiring.  I presume that we can attach it to the back on the Direct TV box and run the wire out the driver's window.  Is there a cleaner way?  I have a 12 volt cigarette lighter and coaxle cable in the basement under the aux. comp.  Could it be as easy as attaching the coaxle cable from the portable sat. to this coaxle connector and 12 volt power supply?  As usual your thoughts and experience would be appreciated.

You can connect it to the cable in connection in utility bay, and put splitter on back of sat receiver using cable in and satellite in feeds

Scott, my 2003, bought used, came with a cable jack in the top left corner of the generator's radiator bay under the drivers seat. this goes to an A-B splitter in the cabinet over the drivers side window. A is the connection to the satellite dish on the roof and B is for the connection in the generator radiator bay which I use to connect a portable satellite dish (manual). Don't know if this is OEM or not.

Horace - Thanx for the response.  I looked in the bay and no connection or AB switch.  Drat.
