Is a gap in that molding along the roof to sidewall molding going to result in water down the sidewall? In the winnebago the roof tucks into the sidewall meaning a gap in that sealant is disastrous. The Foretravel is supposed to have the roof overlapping the sidewall by 1.5" which means this outer molding should just be for show.
Just curious about this because I have some suspicion of the water in the porch light handle actually coming from behind...
Thanks!
I realisticly cannot see that happening- water coming from inside wall, as the way the handle is installed would not allow it. But , having said that water can get in along the screws or the lower casting not being sealed were the plastic handle goes into it. I fixed mine by drilling a small hole in the lower "cup" that holds handle and any water would drain out the bottom of casting. Take handle off and apart and maybe you have a rubber gasket seal broken too.
Simple fix.

I suppose now that I think about it every time a major storm comes we pull the awning in. I didn't really think of that, so there is still ample opportunity for water running down the wall to fill the lower handle cavity. I might try to make a gasket out of butyl tape for now and see how that goes.
