Title: Help, Generator is running fine but NO AC power
Post by: GKCigar on July 22, 2014, 08:00:53 pm
Getting ready to leave for Washington and started the gen to test function and discovered that I have no AC power for Microwave or Air Conditioner. I checked the circuit breakers under the bed and nothing seems to have been tripped.

Have you checked the breakers on the generator? If they are not tripped, you could have a bad transfer switch, which is under the foot of the bed.

Auto transfer switch, has to work to put power thru from the generator to the coach.  Ours has a very noticeable "clunk" when it engages.

I gather the first thing to ask is did you hear the relay switch cut in after about 30 secs of running. It is under bed end behind panels. Any voltage at all showing on panel-even low volts. Check the gen itself and see if the 2 circuit breakers are in the on position, possibly they have been turned off for some reason.

Looks like others beat me to it so my post is a repeat.

An early clue wpuld be to determine if the electric fan is running, if yes a simple issue.  Assuming it has a remote radiator.

Thank you all for your quick reply's. I knew as soon as I posted this I would find what I hope was the problem. Anyway I opened up the genny if the front and the breaker was in the on position. I moved it to the off position and pushed the reset button and moved the breaker back to the on position. Wallah, power everywhere. :D
Thanks again.
What a forum.
