Title: Campgrounds in Nac (split from Re: Headed back to NAC--Campground)
Post by: Michael & Jackie on July 26, 2014, 12:27:50 am
you asked campground......at Mot, see if can stay in your coach as they are working....they will be taking it out of the bay at night.  In the day time you can hang out in the lounge, head over to Butcher Boys for lunch.

If you must have a campground, it is limited at Nac.  I would go north of MOT on the loop, past the turn off on Stallings that goes to Walmart, and there is a campground on the west side of the loop is an RV park.

If you are having work done at FT, you can stay in their lot free, same deal, the coach will be put in the lot each night with 50 amp power and water hook up.  There are 2 dump stations  there as well and night time security.  If you are not having work done there but need a place to stay anyway, they charge a nominal $20 a night.  Check with the service department at FT for arrangements.  We were there all last week, took the coach for a week end trip and will return next week for more work.  Word of caution--- if you are planning service at FT, make reservations early, they are very busy and booked up for a month or so in advance.

Go south from Xtreme and turn right at the Budweiser distributor. Turn left on the loop and exit to the farm road asap and then turn right at the public services (or something like that) and Forest RV is right there. Nice folks there. Full hookup with 50smps was $27.

Thanks for the replies, everyone, but I may have confused the issue. I am just looking for camgrounds on the way there from a North Carolina departure. Planning on staying in the unit at MOT. Worked out great staying there before when I purchased.

Also, thanks for the lunch recommendation. I also heard about a place called The Fish House (I think) in another thread. Will give those a try.

Anyone else going to be at MOT during the first week of August? Need a non-objective third party to keep me from purchasing every must-have gimmick in the parts area.
