Has anyone installed this over-heat protection device on their RV refrigerator? It shuts off the refrigerator for a few minutes when the boiler gets too hot - usually caused by parking off level too often. Seemingly the best way to prevent refrigerator fires.

Jim, pretty sure it was discussed extensively.
There was a link too.ARPrv | RV Refrigerator | RV Fridge Control | Install by Cooling Unit | RV Fire (http://www.arprv.com/)
Mac the fire guy is an expert on this topic, and he sells fire extinguishers on his website. I talked to him, and found out he has one of these devices on his own refrigerator along with one of his fire suppression systems behind the refrigerator.
If not going to a compressor driven refrigerator, i would definitely install both of these devices.
BTW, for those going to the Redmond FMCA Convention next week, here is a seminar on it-- I will be there:

ARP refrigerator control.

I just ordered one and will be installing it late this week. If I find anything interesting in the process, I'll let you know.

Hi Rich,
I see you own a 2002 also; what model refrigerator do you have and where is it? Â There should be enough wire to route the control to the inside. My Dometic 1492 is on the passenger side which allowed me easily to mount the ARP control to be viewable below the cook top. Some folks mount the control behind the refrigerator which would allow them to see it only by removing the outdoor vent cover. I guess it depends upon if you want to view its readings frequently - "curiosity killed the cat".
I have a Dometic NDR 1062 fridge. I ordered the one with the inside mount display. I do want to know what it is reading.
Hi Rich,
If you go to this link you can see the instructions for operation. They do vary a little between the verions of ARP, but this should help you.

Thanks--I've got it.

Rich,
This link may be better for understanding the display and buttons:
