Title: KARIBA washer dryer combo won't pump out
Post by: TAS69 on August 11, 2014, 04:31:59 pm
Hello Everyone, Had a bit of a flood at the end of a weekend of fun when we tried our washer out for the first time.
Does anyone have experience with one of these units not wanting to cycle into pump out mode ? At this point I would almost rather purchase a new model than start trying to throw pumps, switches, and solenoids at this one.
We are hoping there is some simple procedure we are not aware of.
                                                                                Thanks, Tom,Hope and Sarah

I had to Google Kariba to see who made it - looks like it's the same thing as a Splendide....

Do you have the model number?  Westland Sales is the US source fro Splendide and I've found them very helpful in the past.

ETA - which cycle had you chosen?  I know on our 2100XC there are a couple of cycles where the washer will "hold" before draining, waiting for you to press "start" again.  I'm thinking silk and wool are the ones....

Thanks Michelle, Had to remove the unit to dry up. slowly leaked over the course of four hrs riding home. Maybe I'll plug it in under the carport and experiment with different cycles.

I do believe one of them is ours. Thanks Michelle. Do you know why the spin cycle needs to be on to remove the pump filter?
