Hello guys,
So we have a 1999 U320 42' and I know this is a less common rig. We've been having refrigerator problems that I was trying to track down. One day while I was standing in front of the lower vent I realized that heat was hitting me in the face. Considering there is supposed to be an up draft I thought this was rather strange. When I got up on the roof I realized that the air conditioner is lined up precisely with the fridge and blows a very strong blast of air directly at one side of the roof vent which was creating a backdraft and inhibiting air flow.
To test my theory I placed 2 tall oil jugs on the roof to block the air. Problem solved and the temp went from 48F to 32F pretty shortly. My ugly but inexpensive long term fix is pictured.
Mark, simple ^.^d
Some have fans in the vent.
Cant see "ugly" on the roof. GREAT DISCOVERY..!!
Interesting, I saw that Pam and Mike did about the same thing. Mike said he was looking in the access panel one day, the refer was not doing well. He noticed a spider web blowing down and out towards him. He fashioned one, that he sets in place on the roof when he is parked.
