Title: bypassing relay on 10kw power tech Generator
Post by: joeszeidel on August 17, 2014, 01:19:23 pm
My generator won't start today you can hear the solenoid it has a rapid click the generator dash light blinks and it wants to fire but won't. I understand there is a yellow relay in the control box with two blue wires which need to be pulled and but spliced. Has anyone ever done it. They relay is no longer needed. I read this on a Wonderlodge post.

You sure you have good batteries and cabling and everything recently cleaned up? Low voltage makes relays click also

Engine starts no problem. Charging almost 14 volts. Never had problem before. Read about the relay on a Wonderlodge post where the owner contacted Power Tech and they suggested by passing relay and it worked. Relay in newer coaches no longer used. By the way Kents fleet is about 80 trucks and exclusive to Petridge Farms.
