Title: HWH Cylinder replacement - 2000 U320 Single Slide
Post by: Bob in CT on August 22, 2014, 06:18:32 pm
Received our newly built replacement cylinder from HWH - which was supposed to have "instructions" included with it as to how to install so we get the synchronization correct. No paperwork enclosed. Anyone have experience with this? Bob would love to install this weekend!

You might try sending an email to James Triana or maybe call HWH but it is the weekend already.

It would be best to contact HWH.  They have an extensive Manual online that is available and they should be able to direct you to the proper written procedure.  You should make sure that you follow the HWH procedure to the letter.  We have changed a cylinder on our coach as has Brad S.  Our coach is a 2002 and uses a different hydraulic design than yours.  The process is not difficult but must be followed.  Wait until Monday and contact HWH they can help you best.  FT would probably have to call HWH to get the document(s) anyway.  Good luck.  ;D  FWIW

I could tell you lots about the 2002 Train system...    Seriously, HWH has so many documents online that if you go there and search, you should be able to find the right synch instructions.

Was informed by HWH this morning that it is 4-6 weeks for a tech to call me back. Can someone provide me with James Triana's email address? Thanks in advance.

When I contacted HWH, I did it by email through their Contact Me page.  My Email was responded to pretty quickly, rather than trying phone calls.  They are very busy people, but once you connect, they are extraordinarily helpful.  Heck, they even have a FB page! https://www.facebook.com/hwh.corp (https://www.facebook.com/hwh.corp)

I thought it was technical (dot) assistance@foretravel.com.

I think it changed to warranty.director@foretravel.com after his position changed.

Yes warranty.director did the trick the other day. He responded by the end of day and we are all set. Thanks again to everyone here on the forum for your prompt responses, knowledge and expertise!
