Title: 1990 U280 36' Grand Villa remodel
Post by: Kemahjohn on August 28, 2014, 07:37:21 pm
We have been working on a remodel for some time on our beloved U280, and now have a couple of pictures to post.  We should be done with the last details of the remodel in the next week or so.  We recently upgraded to a 96' U320, so will be selling the U280.  We hadn't planned to upgrade and were going to keep the 280 long term, however an opportunity came up and the rest is history!
The first few shots are of the new drop down flat screen TV and the conversion of the old TV cabinet between the driver and passenger seats into a BAR.  Other changes are the new upholstery (ultra leather) on the Joey bed / couch and the new flooring (Congoleum Dura Ceramic) and new window treatment.
Couldn't help myself, had to post of picture of the "most gauges ever installed on a Foretravel dash" (done by the PO)

Very nice job. It's always interesting to see the result of someone customizing their rig to be "perfect" for them!

Looks great!  Ok, so this is the coach at Americas Storage right?  We met once before, but the coach sure looks different now.

There are so many gauges, switches and lights on that dash, I thought I was looking at a Bluebird!  Would love to see it in person sometime.

I'll measure the TV tomorrow and try to post more pictures.  I have forgotten what size it is, however it is a Vizeo with built in WiFi and blue tooth-- very kool!  You can stream video such as net flix.  Works nice.  The size was limited by the space between the windshield and the mount.

Well here you go, front picture of the gauges that shows all but 4 of them --- I think.
What they do:
alternator voltage, trans temp, engine oil pressure, engine oil temp, exhaust temp, driver oil temp, water temp, fuel level, air pressure, turbo boost pressure, vacuum (2), plus assorted idiot lights and two gauges that I haven't identified yet.
