I know that this has been a frequent topic but I just learned that according to something called the Price Digest my 1992 U240 has its insurance premium based in part on a value from that source of $34,310. Does anyone have experience with this source of value and whether or not it is in fact the "actual cash value" that the insurer's say they will pay for a total loss?
The agent has told me that it is but ....
Seems kind of "odd" to me.
That value seems a bit high to me. If you don't have it in writing it doesn't exist.
Interesting question: I have it in an email. Wonder what the legal beagles think of that as having it in writing? Emails seem to play a prominent role in investigations.
