Last Friday I left for the races in the rain, five miles down the road my drivers side wiper quits. I switched the wires on the controller so the driver side would work. It doesn't work right, no intermittent and when you turn it off it still runs for a couple of minutes. A quick search did not reveal alot of info, but someone said that the control module is no longer available. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Mark
Mark,
Call these folks Tuesday. They are the manufacture and will have your solution. Helpful company.
I purchased all the exterior parts to my wipers; arms, blades, plates for less than one arm from FOT.
AM Equipment Windshield Wiper Systems & Durable DC Motors (http://www.amequipment.com/)
Update on my wiper problems. I have a friend in the RV repair business, he was sure he could find me a good used intellitec dual wiper control. The part has been discontinued by Intellitec. I waited a week and my friend had no luck finding a used or new control. I took Rudy's advice, thanks Rudy, and called AM equipment. Butch at AM was very helpfull, but thought I should try other sources before we started throwing money at the problem. I found a phone number on Intellitec website for repairs on RV electronics. They had me send them the bad module and switch. They called back with a repair amount and fixed me up. Cost 200.00 with shipping. Fast service too. It was nice to have a repair that was easy, same parts, same wires. The place that fixed the module was M&M Electronic Repair in Ohio City, OH.
Good information to add to our files for future reference. Thanks!
"Good information to add to our files for future reference." Is someone (Barry?) compiling a list of go-to places? We can each make our own lists, but if someone is already making a list that can be posted here it would save a lot of duplicated effort.
