Where does the air go when the aux compressor creates a vacuum and deflates the slide air seal bladder? And, can you hear the air escaping from a valve somewhere? Also, has anyone ever deflated the slide seal bladder creating a vacuum with a vacuum cleaner?
Thanks, Larry
The sample of the rubber seal that I have appears to be too stiff to deflate much using a vacuum. Don't know where the air goes.

On my coach there are two black valves that look like nipples sticking out in the pump compartment. That is where the air comes out.
I'm confused! :o
I've always thought that the slide bladders were inflated to seal and just vented to deflate.
Is there actually a vacuum pulled on the bladders?
Harvey, yes there is , using the same pump that inflates the bladder.
Air pressure creates a vortex to vacuum the seal. That's why the pump runs when you turn the slide key on. John S had the answer where the air goes. You should hear lots of air when that is going on.
Follow up question. Where is the vacuum generator located? Thanks, Larry
On my 2003, it is tucked into the upper right corner of the forward wall of the equipment bay. Next to the Xantrex inverter/charger.
It comes from your 12volt pump.
