We are planning to attend this rally (December 4-7) on our way back down to San Diego and are wondering if any forum members will be there?
Tys and Don
A little bump... Maybe if I rephrase the question to "Any FoFum members not going to the California Chapter Motorcade rally in December??? :o LOL, If no one else is going, I guess we will have to represent! ;) ;) We will do our best to assimilate some new drones...
Don
Don, sorry to say, we are not going this year. Really sorry we will miss you and Tys.
I will not be attending this year because of conflicts.
I have attended this Christmas Rally for several years and encourage all who can to attend, it will be very well done and you will meet other Foretravelers.
Sorry to hear that Richard... Are you going to be at Quartzsite this year? Thanks for the bump Wyatt... Hey Wyatt, same question! Hope to see you guys at "Q".
Don
I plan to go. I've been to Paso Robles quite a few times. Wine country, great place to visit.
Don, we will be in the Q :D
Glad to hear it Richard! ^.^d
Don
Audrey and I will be there. Great to hear y'all will be there.
Cindy and I plan to be there. We are excited about it. The wine country is great. We used to live down the road in Atascadero and still have friends in the area. We are looking forward to meeting more of the forum members and CA contingency.
Ah, That is the spirit Harvey & B. J.! ^.^d We look forward to seeing you guys at our first official attendance (with coach) at a Foretravel Rally. Bob & Cindy, we look forward to meeting you as well.
Don & Tys
Just bumping this thread to see if anybody who didn't see this thread is going to be at the Christmas rally at Paso Robles, December 4-7, 2014?
I plan to be there. But only if they don't kick me out for not having my mc numbers attached.
Well Tom, I guess they will have to kick us both out! Though I may apply just the numbers from the decal cut out of the larger decal if I get around to it. I will find other uses for the nice Foretravel logo that comes on them, maybe on the scoops on the back. Am I bad? Don't answer that :o
Don
We do not yet own a Foretravel but we are planning on purchasing one within the next year. Would we be imposing if we stopped by to visit with you all at the Christmas Rally and get your thoughts on owning a Foretravel? We have an appointment with Tyle Fore on the 18th of Dec to discuss what we are looking for in a coach and also get the factory tour. On our trip we plan to stop by MHSRV and MOT too. We currently own a Leisure Travel Van Libero and love it but it is only a fair weather coach. We need a coach that we can travel in year round so a Foretravel seems to be the best choice. Please let us know if you think it would be OK for us to stop by and visit your Christmas Rally.
Hope it will be OK,
Oscar & Janet
Hi Oscar and Janet,
The rally is at Wine Country RV Resort in Paso Robles so please feel free to stop by! The park is public so if they aren't full you could even make yourself a reservation to stay overnight if you like. Two years ago, when our coach was undergoing massive reconstruction, we stopped by the California chapter rally (which was being held in Chula Vista that year) and were warmly welcomed. I'm sure you will find forum members eager to share their Foretravel experiences and show off their coaches. :))
Tys and Don
We would love for you to stop by for a visit. I don't know what the schedule will be yet but we, Audrey and I, can make sure to give y'all a Foretravel welcome.
Please send me an email so we can discuss details.
And ditto Don & Tys's comments above.
Thank you! We made reservations for the night of 5 Dec. Look forward to seeing you all and learning as much as we can. I will send you an email to get the details.
Thank you again,
Oscar & Janet
Great! Looking forward to meeting you!
Tys and Don
We will be coming on the 3rd, a day early. Looking forward to catching up with friends.
^.^d Looking forward to it.
Don & Tys
We had 15 coaches at the Chapter Rally.
Our outgoing Chapter President Leo Volkert mentioned he bought a house in Washington State and is moving there.
At the Grandvention the subject came up about long time motorcaders who can no longer drive a big rig, should they be able to stay a Motorcader and keep traveling with their friends even if they have to downsize to a smaller vehicle. They wanted feedback from the chapters. After a lengthy discussion a show of hands indicated a unanimous agreement that they should be allowed. A letter was drafted to that effect and all members signed it to be given to the factory for our feedback.
New officers were elected:
Audrey Nelson - President
Freddie Limbrick - Vice President
Betty Bark - Secretary and Treasurer
John and Nancy Alguire brought their griddles and cooking utensils and cooked several Breakfast and Dinners.
We had entertainment by a newly formed group of members who are destined for "Americas got Talent" Lets cheer them on. 8)

groovy gals
In good company!
T'was Wonderful
Here you see our new Chapter President getting in practice holding court, and the Gang of Fore adventuring out.
Cindy and I had a wonderful time. We greatly appreciate the work that went into planning, organizing, and directing this event by Ineke and Leo Volkert. We had fun, with friends we knew, met more Foretravel owners, and enjoyed everyone's company. Thanks also to John and Nancy Alguire for the breakfasts and dinners they prepared. We look forward to being with you all again.
Ditto on the thanks, it was a wonderful event.
I wanted to add a few post-event photos to show where I spend the night after the rally. This is the Rincon Parkway, a section of Highway 1 just above Ventura, and part of the Ventura County Park system.
Here are four photos to save me 4000 words.
Tom
Tom,
Is your patio awning only partially deployed in your photos?
While at the Shawnee Grandvention, someone told me that the ribs were supposed to be straight when my Girard was fully extended. Mine stops short, with them at an angle similar to yours. Mine is very large and takes up a lot of room.
(Possibly a different conversation but I noticed my front most strut seemed to be slightly bowed at that point and thought that may have been stopping full extension)
Inquiring minds (at least one) want to know,
Trent
That was intentional, not all the way out. I was keeping the sun out of the window.
