The water pump relay in my coach is stuck in the "on" position. I see it -- as well as the water pump -- on the wiring diagram but I can't find either the actual relay or the pump. Can anyone point me to the relay and the pump locations?
I see an accumulator tank under the fold out couch/bed but can't imagine being able to do anything under there without taking the couch apart. Is there a trick involved here?
Pump and relay likely outboard of the accumulator (under the sofa). Worse case you may have to remove the 4 bolts holding the sofa bottom.
Wonderful. Thank you wolfe10.
If your relay is not in that location, it may be mounted on an electrical panel like ours. It may be a VW headlight latching relay, silver and square shaped. Aftermarket may be black plastic. I found ours by cycling the switch and finding it by the clicking noise. If yours is stuck on, it won't click.
Pierce
Hi Pierce. I am pretty sure mine sits right next to the pump and naturally it is on the outboard side. It is, as you say, silver and square.
I gave myself some room by removing the 2 inboard couch bolts but it looks like I will need more room to actually get in there and replace the relay.
Does anyone know of a source and part number for this relay? I think I may have seen a link here on the forum somewhere but I am not sure if it was the right part.
I found the part number discussion at water pump relay (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=5318.msg21887#msg21887).
There are a number of LR35's available on ebay at:
