In Memory of George Stoltz
January 6, 1939 - October 20, 2014
Friends,
This afternoon we learned of George's passing after his fight with cancer. George was a long time member of Foretravel forum family and we are very saddened to learn of his passing. He was a kind soul and gentleman and will be missed by all that knew him
We do not know of any memorial service details at this time, but pass our heart felt prayers on to Sandy and his family.
George was the best. So sorry to hear this. Our thoughts, and prayers, are for George and his family. George was a great member of our group. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

How very sad; we wish his family the best in such a tough time. What a great contributor George was, especially helpful to new owners like us. Rest in peace.

I hate hearing this.
I have tears in my eyes. I met George once in Nac and liked him from that moment. So sad and we pass our regards to his family. He will be missed for sure.

Thanks for posting the photo of George. He was a good one.
So sorry to hear this. I never got to meet George in person but from the forum I know he is one that I wanted to meet. I really hate cancer!

Our prayers go out to his family.
Almost got to meet George in Maine once and he also lived right down the road from me. Wish I could have had the chance to meet him. When I talked on the phone with him he seemed to be a very kind person. I did get to meet his old coach (Moose) in Jax once. He did a fine job of taking care of his coach. George is in a much better place where there is no more cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with George's family.

That is very sad news. We never met George, but read many of his posts which
were very helpful to us in choosing a Foretravel.
Prays to his family and Rest in Peace George.

George was a dandy fellow. He was a generous and thoughtful guy and an often hilarious companion when sharing lunch at Whattaburger. We were lucky to spend time with George and Sandy at Camp Foretravel on occasion. We were sad when they made the decision to get off the road, as it meant those encounters were a thing of the past. I know his family will have a huge hole to fill with his passing. Godspeed, George.
George was an icon for this forum. I was shocked when they sold Moose and this evening I was shocked and saddened more by his passing. RIP George. We won't forget you and neither will anyone doing a search on this forum. You left a legacy.
Craig
George helped so many of us with his knowledge and posts. I always looked first for his posts.
I caulked my harvest table using George's advice about taping first, then caulking. I had never done such a good job before!! After that, every time we showed our coach I had to give credit where credit was due--to George--for the great looking caulk job.
I am willing to bet there are a lot more stories out there about George's contributions and help.
Missed him when he threw out the anchor, and darn near broke out in tears reading the notice tonight.
RIP George Stoltz. I am disappointed that I never met you. Your queries on this forum provoked thought, conversation, and education.
Good memories of visits with George and Sandy beginning with the purchase of Moose. Prayers for the family.
I find this news particularly difficult, as I lost my wife to cancer a week ago. I remember when George was a newbie and wannabe on the forum, helped push him over the edge to becoming a FT owner, followed his difficult transition from brick and mortar home to full timing, and watched his meteoric rise to near top number of posts. George was a kindred spirit, we had a number of email chats, and I didn't understand until now why he suddenly sold the Moose. George, we all miss you.
Rest in peace George! So sad.
George and i were talking and he sent me an email when he stopped the treatments. He could no longer talk on the phone but he fought a good battle and he loved his FT. Rest in Peace George, you will be missed.
Our prayers for his family, he will always be remembered for being so much to the forum family.
Although I don't post much, I do read the forum at least once a day. George has been one of those ever-present personalities that had great advice and, like so many others on this forum, just felt like an old friend even to people who had never met him. We are so sad to lose this wonderful person. Our prayers for his family and to all those others who have lost a fine friend.

It's always very sad to learn of a fellow friend's death. It brings everything into perspective. We all loved him whether we had met him in person or not for his candid views on just about everything. May Sandy keep only the good memories...forever.
We met George and Sandy in Maine when they first put Moose up for sale. It was the first Foretravel we had seen and George was so courteous and helpful answering all our newbie questions.
So sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in peace George.
Rest in peace George. We never met but I enjoyed your posts. Our thoughts are with Sandy.

As others have posted I never had the opportunity to meet George, but enjoyed his post.
All these post are a testament to George.
I wish my condolences to the family and my prayers in this difficult time.
Rest in peace.
Jerry
RIP George. you talked to me and assisted me in my Foretravel quest. You were the reason I bought a FT. Always had the time to assist and mentor a novice, and I will truly miss you. God bless those left behind as you are in a better place John
I am shocked and sorry to hear of the loss of George.
I like some of the other members have said here never met George but I enjoyed reading his posts, especially the excellent questions George presented to the forum which always seemed to be about an area I needed to help me in understanding a problem or my new to me coach.
Rest in Peace George.
George's adventures with his NEW FT gave not only a lot of good advice but at times a good laugh. He really did put a lot into the Motorhoming lifestyle and I am sure that he inspired others.
He is missed.

RIP George. We met many times over the years and he was an avid customer when we sold PressurePro tire monitors and PowerTanks air systems.... An interesting fellow!
I'm sure he is enjoying that great Campground in the Sky!!
Mike
We have not met George but have enjoyed reading his posts about his RV adventures and travels. Our prayers our with Sandy and family. RIP George.
George reached out to me well before he bought his coach, seeking to see my U-270 as he was living in NW Chicago in his Barrington IL S&B.
We met then and once again in Meccadoches while he was having some work done on Moose at Xtreme (Delamination on the slide as I recall) and I was at MOT for annual service.
We shared dinner that PM (Sandy, George and I) and I remember how warm and genuine (plus of course opinionated...) he was.
I enjoyed most his starting a thread about some question that no one else would think to ask, and the thread would go on forever.
I should look at his posts and pick a few out, they were really Gems.
I am so happy to have known George and that he and Sandy got to roam this great country in Moose while he was still healthy.
RIP George, the forum is a better place thanks to you and so many others like you.
He just looks like such a sweet man, got that little "twinkle" thing goin' on, & looks a little mischievous to boot, a fine trait in a feller...sending prayers and special wishes for Sandy to be strong and carry on in his spirit.
They say we are know for our legacy, George's will live on for many a decade. Sorry to hear of his passing. I Pray for Strength and understanding for Sandy and Family

Sad to hear. Our prayers and condolences to Sandy and all of George's family. We met George after he sold his motorhome and purchased his Blue Ox tow bar. Fortunately George was able to get out on the road and experience this great country and make some great memories.
RIP George. Our prayers are with your family.
