Good afternoon!
Has been awhile since I have posted, sold my U300 a few years ago and just purchased a 1997 U295 from MOT. First of all, folks at MOT were fantastic, worked with Stewart Canty, great guy that really went above and beyond.
Now in the figure it out phase with the new coach, fortunately many similarities between my old U300 and the new one. A few questions for the experts around here..........
+Seems like I have to run the inverter to operate the radio because it runs through the bose system which is 110. Is that correct?
+I have to replace a few of the under cabinet halogen bulbs...........should I begin to replace with led? If so, any thoughts on where to buy?
Thanks in advance.
I bought mine from FT when I was there, they are good ones that I can use my dimmer switch I installed on. Maybe a buck high but WTH

Our amplifier system works on 12VDC, so radio with play without the inverter. It is DHS rather than Bose. The DHS system must be on for the radio to play.
I replaced all bulbs in puck lamps with LED. I used lights from SuperBrightLEDS, part number G4-WWHP12-DAC.
I've been very pleased. The LEDs are warm white in color. They are about the same color and brightness as the halogens. They are much cooler an used about 80% less power than the halogen bulbs.
My system needs 120 volt power to supply my Bose to hear the 12 volt dash radio. So I have to turn on my 2500 watt inverter. A sort of crazy way to make sound, but I do love my XM thru the Garmin GPS, to the Bose.
Dolly needed to charge her net book computer once. We were running the engine, thousands of pounds, it charged the batteries, 380#, to run the inverter to take 12 volt DC up to 120 volt AC, for the computer power supply to step it down from AC to something like 14 volts DC. And who said electric was complicated?
