What is the purpose of pipe running down the center under coach? It starts just forward of rear bulkhead and runs to the front bulkhead and stops. About 3/4 or 1" O.D. It appears to be open on the front end?
Thanks,
David
I have similar pipe under my coach also. Mine has a red and black wire in it with one end terminating in the engine bay and the other goes up to the dash where the wires are fused and powered. I was thinking the PO installed it for something. I am going to take the conduit down as it is in a prime spot to get ripped out and do damage to the underbelly. It also looks very crappy and non-Foretravel worthy.
Me too and I thought the PO did it for wires that may feed the new B Up cam and Viewsonic screen he put in ??? It also has 2 wires in and pieces are not glued together as I have taken vertical tubes out of elbows to clean the pipe of road crap.
Maybe a call to J T will figure this one out.

Definitely after market.
You guys have my curiosity up now. I did not notice the wires. Will investigate mine further and get back. I t really is in a spot just ripe for dragging on something. I thought it looked like something added on as well.
David
Well, I just inspected the pipe further. At each end, there is a 45 degree elbow turn upwards. There is nothing coming out of either end. It appears as thought it was used as conduit of sorts. I would guess that it was not done by the factory.
I agree that it was added to run wires for something?
Probably would be a good idea to rip out. Then again it might prove handy for something one day?
David
that is funny as mine are 45 too but I have 2 wires. Have to see where they go.
JohnH
John,
Will be curious to here what you find.
David
David, may not get a chance right now as we leave this weekend for Europe and NW Africa (Canary Isles) for a month and busy finishing many little jobs before packing etc.

This time of the year, I'm betting on Spain/Portugal. Lucky dog!

Yeah, renting a home on the ocean (walk out the house and you are on the beach) in a nice quiet little place of Lanzarote, looking across to sahara Desert (sort of!) 3 bedroom and nice big roof deck with 360# view. Will send you a picture Pierce to rub it in. A sister and husband coming from England to stay with us as she said "you have lots of room"?
JohnH
Hi John H,
Send us all a few pics from the other side.
Raymond
John, stay away from West Africa.. :P
Could that conduit have been for an antenna for the tire pressure monitoring system? We have an antenna at about the rear bulkhead, no conduit just wires.
Ok, mystery solved as I just had a return email from PO of our coach and when he changed over the cam and screen he did not know about the extra wires FT puts in and so this pipe is carrying the 2 extra wires needed for the Viewsonic. I will not bother changing it as it has never come into contact with anything so best leave alone.
JohnH
Sounds like it was designed to carry wires to the camera. Like I said earlier, could come in handy sometime. It is not bothering anything, although I would have thought something would have snagged it by now.
Thanks for your help.
David
