Reading another forum one of its members a CC owner got an email that announced the first production CC for the new company (old). One of the Lee's said that they were completing the first copy of a 45' allure on their old chassis with Cummins ISX 11 500hp for sale in the spring. It would be interesting to see the initial pricing structure as this would be a mid level coach.
I guess they got the financing to do it. I wonder what FT thinks of it. It is the biggest direct competitor to them and has been for a long time.
Interesting indeed. I always was a fan of CC. I may have bought one versus the FT had CC not had financial trouble.
esaulten, nice to see a post from you. I've been hoping to see more late model FT owners on the board. Would be nice to bounce issues off of other owners 2006 and later as the gadgets on our coaches are different than early models.
It would be nice to see them come back. They built a great coach. I would have bought a CC, but at the time I didn't want to buy a orphan.
Good Luck CC
From Country Coach's newletter:
"...
Everyone here is excited about the 2015 Allure prototype. We have shared some of our plans with those of you who visited our facility this summer. It will be 45 ft. on our own 500 HP, Dynomax chassis with four slides; we are doing the very popular bath and a half, front kitchen, expansive living room with 55 inch TV and surround sound. Projected completion date should be late spring 2015. Our intention is to build a production run of twenty five of this model after the considerable testing and certification work is done. We decided on the Allure for several reasons, one is that we have all new molds completed for a fresh new look and it falls about the mid price point of our product line up. We will then add other models and lengths as we increase production.

When we were there a couple of weeks ago having service, they said they had just installed the engine in the prototype.
Right now, Captain Urethane is thinking "what did I tell you?!?!"
If the floorplan is the Crane Prairie, we looked at one at MOT a couple of years back and really liked it, with the tweak of turning the 1/2 bath into a walk-in pantry.
Love the idea of turning the 1/2 bath into a walk-in pantry. The space spent on a 1/2 bath frequently grates on my "everything should have multiple uses" mentality from living on a boat. :p
Interested to hear the positive vibe about CC. We saw a few that were really iffy build quality wise, but we were probably seeing the lower end of the range.

Ah we start again. I drove a country camper mini I took in trade. Parquet floor. Seamed fiberglass exterior skins. Wood cabinets.
Ron and bob know how to build quality coaches. They had a falling out years ago. Just Ron?
They were bought out/taken over by National at one point and some lower-end models that came from the National line were badged as CC.
I think most of us are remembering the Intrigue, Magna, and Affinity models with a fair amount of respect for the quality. I don't recall if Allure was a pre-National model or not, but still a decent coach. There was a time where Foretravel and CC were direct competitors, and competition is good for the prospective customer since it's incentive to do better and raise the bar.
Was sales manager for a country coach dealer when intrigues were new. Sold serial number three.
Allure came later. Not full body paint.
Country coach loved our sales enough to let us order empty coaches and put our own furniture in them. Villa instead of flexsteel. We also fit solid wood valances in the coach with stacking vertical fiber stacking blinds like vogue had. Last fix was to put the diesel gens in a sound box.
Extremely well made, dimensionally near perfect construction. Seperate green ground wires. Run under floor for hoses and wiring.
Front entry step low. Easily damaged in deep dips if not careful.
A lot of country coaches we saw were pretty bad compared to the foretravels we saw but for the money country coach's are miles ahead of the other brands and should be an easy choice for someone not wanting to pay the FT/Prevost/Wanderlodge premium. If I didn't buy my coach it would have been a 40' dual slide allure or magna if I found one I liked. All of the cheap Intrigues we found were super beat up. The wife wanted a 2000 Affinity but the guy wouldn't budge on $100K and we just couldn't reconcile the pricing. If it was a Foretravel we would have jumped on it. We test drove a 2002 dual slide allure that was well within our price range. It drove quite a bit better than the Foretravel we ended up buying. Softer over the hard bumps and stayed true and center while the Foretravel wanders a bit like my Winnebago gas. But I may have a bearing problem which might explain the wandering.
