I guess I will start a thread on the big gathering at FOT, but all participants are welcome to chime in!
Between the Driving School attendees and owners here for service appointments, we (the Foretravel Faithful) have filled 99% of the available parking spots at Camp FOT. Jeannie and I (relative newbies) have never seen so many Foretravel coaches in one place! It is a sight to behold! I will post some photos after the sun gets up, but for now I will just say "If you're not here, you are missing a Really Great Party!".
More news to follow...
Out of this whole herd of coaches, there are only TWO classic GV's present - ours and Bill Chaplin's. We are parked together in the corner next to the dog kennel enclosures. I am sure there is nothing significant about our location...but you have to wonder. Bill has already hosted several lively evening get-togethers. His coach seems to attract people like moths to a flame. Oh wait...there was a flame last night! One of the merry group (sorry, haven't got all the names down yet) broke out his propane powered "camp fire". Felt great in the evening chill!
Portable Propane Fire Purchased at Lows, $99.00. Has a twist on lid that has a carry handle and keeps the lava rock from spilling out. They were cooking hot dogs and roasting marshmallows on it.
You guys know we want photos!

Looks like a great time.... Thanks for the pictures.
Monday morning waiting for the school to start.
Some photos of the parking lot.
Someone has too many toys!
The GV corner, and more views of Camp FOT.
We are so jealous. Last year was a wonderful time. Tried to get Rhonda and our daughter in this year after they bought their coach. Just wasn't to be because you guys had signed up first.
Have fun and we will try for next year.
Started off with that fun gathering of about 25 FoFums last night at Chaplins'....plenty of characters & stories to go around, & really amazing to see how big & impressive the GV's are in person.
Great class room instruction today from John McKee, walk arounds of the IH 45's with James Triana & Jack Bradshaw, more tomorrow....service bays are buzzing, all the FT brains & the experience, all these gorgeous coaches in one place, it's the best....sat down today with Joshua Davis, service advisor, a real pro.
FOT is spoiling us rotten....can we really take 3 more days of this torture? ;D

I am glad you are having fun at your driving school. FYI. Tanya made it to Hawaii fine yesterday. I will give you a call in the next few days.

The Foretravel lot was full as of last night. They even moved most of the consignment coaches to make room for everyone. There are a few coaches leaving today as they have had their repairs and upgrades completed.
Good "overhead view" photos! I wondered who that was walking along the top of the brick wall - now I know!
Just home, from a quick day trip to FOT, to deliver the motorcycle lift for delivery to Chicago. Turned off 21 and at the top of the hill, was amazed to see all the coaches. Drove thru the lot, full on the north side, both sides, and the consignments spaces almost gone as well. Then out front, a full line of new IH45, maybe 6. Never have seen so many Foretravels in one place or that many at FOT. The inside parking fenced area was full and busy as well.
Fun to see folks, some I have not seen in years, others months ago. Wish I had been able to take the coach and spend some time, but needed to be back home to help Dolly.
36 degrees, clear blue skies at Camp FOT this morning...attendees are breaking out their cool weather outfits. Today is the BIG DAY: first drive (for most) in the IH45!
Dave, hope Dolly is doing better, sending special thoughts & prayers for you both, sorry to have missed you yesterday.
Power packed day today....complicated course driving, easier & smoother than I'd thought but they are big & take longer to get places (around stuff)......factory tour this morning & after the driving, a special presentation of the ABC's by James Triana....just a great day all around....everyone is working their tails off to show us a good time! No wonder they only do this once a year! ;D
Reading about your driving school this year brings back fond memories of our experience there last year. Always fun when Foretravelers get together and driving school was awesome..hope to see you all at Quartzsite in January!

We were actually walking around looking at the consignment coaches there today. The sales department was pretty empty with all the excitement around the driving school and we were given friendly but somewhat vague direction to look at the coaches "over there, they are all unlocked". Not knowing that some of the coaches mixed in with the consignment rigs were actually driving school attendees, I think we may have rattled a locked door or two. :o
Apologies if anyone here thought we were trying to break in! ;)

Oh man great pictures. Thanks for posting. Wishing we were there but doesn't look like any place for us to park! 36˚ sounds great. -2˚ @ 9:20pm here in Denver! Yikes. We should be out of here next week. Love Denver but can't wait to get out of here! :)
Drive safe!
see ya
