We have an '03 with a living room slide. We are thinking about replacing the existing couch (which is in the slide floorspace) with another recliner. Has anyone else done this (this would give us two recliners and no couch)?
If so, how do you like it? Did you modify the slide to have a wider floor? Do you have pictures?
Thanks
Jean and I have not done this yet, but plan to. We are not couch people.
This existing couch originally had a closed arm right behind the driver seat. PO had that arm removed, but you still cannot recline the seat much (not for driving BTW). It also interferes with trying to rotate the driver seat.
Our intention is to replace the couch with two recliners and replace the dining table with a long table that works as a table and two desk positions. (Reminds me I need to go out and buy my lottery tickets.)
BTW, 40', no slide.
Hope this helps,
Trent
We have a no-slide coach. FT removed our couch several years ago and we have enjoyed two recliners since then. FT had to move our Bose sub-woofer. They built a new cabinet behind the driver's seat with the Bose unit in the bottom and a new drawer above.
I had my slide floor extended by FT. I would talk to them about it.
I agree contact Dave F. at Foretravel.
My '99 non-slide came with a couch and a love seat and I only needed/wanted a couch, so during a Buddy Rally at FT, I told Dave Flanagan and he found a Corian table top plus walnut cabinet in his "Bone Yard" that matched my interior perfectly!
As expected Dave and his FT team removed the love seat, added the Corian top and cabinet with their usual quality workmanship and at a very attractive price to me!
