Title: Drivers Seat Refurbishing
Post by: stump on November 16, 2014, 04:59:18 pm
We took ''Nelson'' out for a drive today!  Betsey and 2 of our dogs went ,it was all their first ride. The Coach ran great. We both feel we hit the lottery on this thing and are going to have many many good times,I noticed that the divers seat has a sag in it. is there anyone that has refoamed the seats in these for more support?

I have done 4 lately, as long as the cover is good, removed seat, turned upside down, cut strips of new foam, worked into the old padding, I was happy. This was on a 1990 and a 1992 Foretravel.

Flexsteel has exact replacement 'manufactured' foam pieces if Flexsteel chair number is known. Vinyl / leather cover comes off and can be put back on. replacing_seat_foam_in_motorhome_chair (http://beamalarm.com/Documents/replacing-seat-foam.html)

We found the seat model number on a small piece of paper shoved between the seat spring and the foam. The foam they made was computer cut with different foams and shapes glued together, very first class. We also added some more foam to the seat to better suit our needs.
