Well I had a Oh Snap experience today. The water tank in Nelson was empty and today I wanted to sanitize it and get all gteh plumbing checked out.I read the manual and added bleach and water and started to fill the tank. As tghe tank was filling I started hearing water flowing and ran inside,Oh Snap water was flowing out of the bottom of the fridge,The Ice maker line was loose, and then water was flowing out from under the bathroom sink,I ran outside and shut off the hose and opened the drain valves ,Thats when I saw water leaking behind the water heater,Whew!!!I grabbed my flashlight and saw the risers to the sink spigot were leaking took them loose and tightened them up. The Ice maker line needed a new nylon ferrel, fixed that, and then had to take the water heater almost out to get to the 2 water fittings on the back of it, they were loose.I tightened them up and then cleaned the water heater burner It fired it up and everything is now leak free and i have hot water with the exception of a dripon the water pump,I'll delve into that tomorrow. Then,
That's when Betsey hollered at me and said our washing machine had overflowed and the sink was backed up, So it was get the water hose crawl under the house and flush the drain line with 150 ft of hose and wash it clear,I felt a clog about 100' in and everything is flowing nice and smooth now, should be good for about 3 yrs when it will do it again! Now I'm having a few drinks and Thinking WTF!!!Must be Plumbing Karma or something!!!
I can sympathize. I haven't had the floods, but I've had quite a few days when whatever I touch not only breaks or falls apart but also takes out the thing it is connected to.
Those are normal things for me when the water gremlin decides to get busy. Water is my nemesis.
