We are in Baytown TX enjoying spending time with Rudy and his lovely wife Carolyn. Rudy is systemically diagnosing a perplexing problem on our Aqua Hot. Such warm and hospitable people. Honest and real. And Rudy speaks and breathes Aqua Hot, a blessing to us for sure. Since last year our AH diesel side has faulted-out intermittently-- within seconds, minutes, hours -- or sometimes not at all. In May a tech replaced the Control box. We fired up the diesel for showers over the summer, and thought it was fixed. However, while at NAC during the Nov Ladies Driving School, the diesel would not fire and the light went out within 16 seconds. We had the photo-cell replaced, the diesel fired right up and the light stayed lit. Joy. But when the weather turned cold again last week, the diesel began faulting out intermittently again. Wish we had found Rudy last May. Rudy doesnt just throw parts at a problem, charge the customer, and cross his fingers; he tests each stage in the Aqua Hot by installing his own loaner part and leaving it in long enough to replicate the problem. He doesn't replace a part until he confirms that it is needed. How great is that?? ^.^d
I haven't been able to personally meet Rudy, but I've had an extended telephone conversation with him as well as exchanging PMs here. He's a great guy and a real asset to Foreforums!
Rudy is great.
Thank you all for the very kind comments.
A couple of years ago Rudy telephonically fixed an Aqua Hot problem and educated me over multiple calls at the start of a two month fall trip up north. Hopefully one day we will meet up so I can thank him in person. He deserves all the accolades. ^.^d
Mike & Deb:
Rudy is the one who gave me the referral to Bernd Ramspect- the diesel mechanic here in NAC. I gave you his number at the Ladies Driving School.
It is so great to have resources like Rudy, Bernd, Mot, Fot, Xtreme, Infinity, etc.
I know Rudy will get it done right for you.
Cya down the road.
Yes, Rudy is a champ. We met them when they purchased their FT.
And again, more recently, at Bernd's.
Rudy diagnose our AH problem as only requiring rebuilding (not replacing) two pumps.
best, paul
I have not had the opportunity to meet Rudy, or need his services. I hope to do the first one of these days; hopefully without the second!
Rudy contributes to this Forum frequently; his contributions are priceless...
Oh good grief! I forgot to mention Brett. What a treasure trove he is!!
Rudy replaced one of our heat exchangers under our living room lamp table this morning. This is interior work that Rudy doesn't normally get involved with but agreed to help us out of a bind. Rudy, who we have used several times before, did his normal excellent job. Rudy also helped us out over the phone several times this summer when the furnace started acting up while we spent the summer/fall up in an usually cool Michigan. Rudy is an excellent resource!!
Missed having Rudy do my service on the AH in June because Houston was under water. FT did it and it has been erratic
since. Go see Rudy if your in the area. He knows all the good restaurants, also.
