Title: Hilton Head RV Parks
Post by: Hans&Marjet on December 04, 2014, 05:08:16 pm
My lovely wife :-* and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and thought Hilton Head area would be a great place to visit. Any recommendations for beach type RV parks from my fellow FT owners would be appreciated. We would be visiting in the month of January/February 2015

Thx

Hans

S Carolina State Parks offer 1/2 price camping for a month at a time at several beach State Parks.

We have been to Hunting Island and Edisto Beach.  Both appealing.  Not exactly an RV resort experience but enjoyable.  Check them out!

We stayed here (Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina) several years ago in a waterfront lot and really enjoyed it.  The restaurant was fantastic ... first time I ever had a Smoked Bloody Mary.

Hilton Head Motorcoach Resort Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort : South Carolina's finest RV retreat (http://www.hhimotorcoachresort.com/) is nice. It's far enough away from the beach that you would need to ride your bicycles, but it's a nice place.

We were in HHI RV Resort and Marina in October. Very nice, restaurant is five star. Long way to the beach. Bike access is sketchy for about a mile before you reach the bike paths. You will need a car.

If you have never stayed at the HHI Motorcoach resort on the south ebpnd of the island I suggest taking advantage of their first time visitor discount. Lots more stuff accessible by bike trails and at a pretty good price on the discount. Oh, and they really prefer A Class rigs as there are no fifth wheels allowed (if memory serves me right). Have a nice time.
