Title: Thankful
Post by: iwanttorv2 on December 06, 2014, 04:58:51 pm
In the last 4 days we've met some of the nicest people we could have imagined, all are FT owners.
Wednesday we met Tim and got a great introduction to FT touring his beautiful coach. Then today we met Dani C, Fred and Gary at MOS and toured their beautiful coaches.
We've learned a lot in a very short time and meeting these great people, so willing to share their knowledge has helped solidify our decision to pursue a FT.
We are looking forward to meeting more FT owners at the Tampa show in January,  anxious to continue our research.
Thank you all!
Jim and Sue

Great day showing Jim & Sue around MOS, they got to see 3 FT's (two 36 ft. a U270 & a U295 & one 42 ft. U320 w/tag axle) inside & out and at least another half a dozen from the outside just cruising the neighborhood....did our best (Fred W. & Gary O. mostly) to answer as many questions as possible & show the features of these coaches...again, the quality always shines thru....in readying the coach for their arrival, felt good to sit back and look at how new & shiney an 18 year old coach can look if made with top materials & workmanship, and brought back to life with upgrades & add-ons....an excellent day...these fine folks would be a welcome addition to the FT family.

No one here at Escapees Rainbows End that have visited our "new to us" '03 can, or will believe that the coach is 14 years old, and, being a bunch of RV'ers there have been a lot of lookers. Quality shows thru the age !

What & where is "MOS"?  Certainly sounds like a FT ""target rich environment"!

Dave,
Recently we wanted to go to the "Silver Palms" RV Resort in Okechobee Fl. with some fellow RViers from our place here. When Sue called to make reservation the lady asked for the age of our coach. When she was told that we had an '02 Foretravel she hesitated and told Sue that they generally only take coaches 10 yrs and newer. Sue reassured her that our coach would not mar the ambiance of their Resort. When she turned to get advise from another person in their office- she was promptly informed that since it was a Foretravel, we could come. When we got there, they all were just marveling at "How gorgeous" A 14 YR old Foretravel looks. Regardless to say, thru the 5 days there we had at least 4 couples come by to visit and learn more about our wonderful Home On Wheels!

I will throw this comment in as I know my Brother and S I Law do not get on forum to write much-they read but do not write much. They have a 94 240 GV with a striking full body paint and Geoff tells me every time they go to their weekend get a way RV park in Wash' State there is almost a line up of other RV ers wanting to have a tour of it as none had seen one before and cannot believe it's age! It does have a different design on outside and will catch anyones eye as it passes.

We have an actual '02 ... but whenever we have paint, body or remodel work done, we adjust the "age" of our coach to reflect that.  Since we just had a headlight remodel done, if any park asks us the age of our coach, we will say it is a 2014.    They NEVER know the difference.

MOS is Mount Olive Shores, there's a north and a south, we're in the south property, it's just a few miles north of Lakeland and south of Polk City, FL. I think it started out years ago as a ~Foretravel only~ community, then went to ~class A only~ & just recently a couple of class C's have turned up.  MOUNT OLIVE SHORES | A Class A Motorhome Community With a Unique Lifestyle (http://www.mosloa.com)  My new neighbors to the north recently asked if my coach was new!  Guess both of us old girls (the coach and I) will have to start lying about our age pretty soon!  :))

Carol- So true! Most of the time gen RViers do not know much about Foretravels anyway. How much less knowing the model or age of our coaches!

Last week an older gentleman was out walking at the RV park and asked about our coach. He said it looked new, but guessed it might be a few years old. When I said it was a 1993 he was quite surprised. I think he was being polite, as the headlights kind of give away the age.
