I have installed a set of Road King Shocks. Has anyone had a problem with the m/h shock mount bracket breaking off. All rear mounting bottom brackets are broken off.

I have had the P/S rear shock Mount broken 3 times. Finally having Foretravel replace the whole mount instead of rewelding the broken part. Also had broken welds where the metal bumper was hitting.
Anytime a shock or shock mount breaks, it is a good idea to make sure the shock is the correct LENGTH.
Measure shock mounting bolt to mounting bolt with suspension at normal/correct ride height.
Measure compressed shock length and extended shock length (or get these dimensions from the shock manufacturer).
Basically, you want length at normal ride height to be close to the middle of shock travel. If the shock is too short, the shock will act as the axle stop if that side goes in a hole. If the shock is too long, the shock will bottom out over bumps.
Shocks are NOT meant to limit/control axle movement, but to be within their operational range throughout the axles vertical movement.
