Title: Aux. Compressor "tank fill switch"
Post by: Old Hippie on December 08, 2014, 11:14:49 am
Good morning,
From ya'lls comments on my previous post about the aux. compressor, I was able to do some troubleshooting.
I dumped all of the air and then let the aux. compressor start. The air tank switch on the console was in the off position.  After a bit the rear air tank started building pressure. From Michelle's previous comment, it appears that the switched air tank fill valve is on all of the time, causing the aux compressor to run and run.
I got on my creeper and tried to determine where that fill valve was located. Geez, I wish there were idenfication tags on all of those mysterious divices under the coach. Anyway, can anyone describe where that fill valve might be?
Also, how do you get to all of the switches on the drivers console? Most of my indicating lights are out.
OH

Ours is in the bay with the aux compressor.  It's got a solenoid on it.  I'll see if we have a photo since I don't immediately see it labeled in our air schematic.

Our son found and fixed our Aux Compressor.

A broken wire.

You'd think FT would make wires that lasted more than 15 years ;o)

best, paul
