Have done a search to find a direct replacement for our keyless door transmitter behind the panel in front of the passenger seat but can not find one. Do not see a mfg. or model # on the unit. Have found fob replacements but no transmitter. Have tried to reset but no joy. Did replace batteries. Any success with this?
Scott, when I bought our coach the transmitter did not do its job so what I did was change all the little settings to the opposite position then move them back. It worked and never any more problems.

Thanks John for your reply. How did you do it?
Well I am supposing your unit is like ours, so there is on the side a small group of code settings (forget the name for them right now) that can be programmed for security. These are the ones I changed by switching each one over to the opposite of what they are now. Once all are done just flip them back to the original setting and that cured our problem. Obviously was needing just a kind of contact clean.

I'll take a look.
Mine looks like this attachment. Don't see any switches on the side of this case.
Scott, try www.johnsonelectric.com (http://www.johnsonelectric.com)
I think that's a Hawk RV101 security "brain", IIRC the manufacturer was Vehicle Security in the Dallas area. I am trying to search my files for a scan of the 1-page instruction sheet... no luck yet.
A-8490 is the schematic page
You might need to call James Triana for the document.
AS always: Thanx Michelle. I will call Mr. Triana and request the doc.
FT has replacement: P/N PA3-662 @ $221.02. Maybe I'll just go that route and try not to reinvent the wheel.
Scott, just looked at mine and there is a "positive contact" and a "negative contact" switch inset in the box cover on the top of mine, I now remember this is what I did just flipped those switches over then back and everything started working again. Check yours.
John H
Thanx John will look again.
Update: Flipped the switch a couple of times and still no joy. :-(
Sorry, next thing to use is a big hammer :)) :))
JohnH
Big Hammer - right. :)) :))
Mine hasn't worked since I bought the coach about two years ago. I've looked at several options. Yoiu can get a box and two fobs from amazon for about $15. I even have thought about a push button pad by the door.
Amazon.com : Car Remote Central Lock Locking Keyless Entry System with Remote (http://www.amazon.com/Remote-Central-Locking-Keyless-Controllers/dp/B006QH9C5A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418689232&sr=8-1&keywords=keyless+remote+entry+automobile+system)
Keyless Entry Systems (http://www.a1electric.com/keyless-entry.htm)
My local O'Rielley's has one for about $50.
If you have the schematics, either option should be doable. The keyless entry was an option on our coach and they forgot to add the schematics to my book. I just made a copy of them from my brother's U295 and will start exploring this spring when it warms up in Beavercreek, OH ;-).
I'm going to try the switch flip when we get home tomorrow.
Rich
Thanks Rich -
If you could send me the schematic I would appreciate it.
Not Rich, but here's a pic of our Hawk page. Appears to be relevant to build 5947 and forward (at least through 6106 ;) )
Scott,
Michele's is probably the best reference. Mine is an earlier rev #. I found there were several rev changes on the pages I copied and our (mine and my brother's) coaches are only 40 or so build numbers apart.
Rich
Thanks Michelle -
I'll study on it for a while and place it in my coach folder. :D
It's an SCS Frigette. The same device is used in a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder *I think*. You can look up the FCC-ID on the alarm box and use the fcc id website to match to the remote fcc-id. Then you can search for that on ebay to find a matching transmitter. I cannot find the one I bought any more to link you but that was my process. My remote is a 4 button and the unlock button locks the doors and the panic button unlocks. Not optimal but I'll take it over nothing!
