Title: Intellitec repair/rebuild?
Post by: BamaFan on December 16, 2014, 09:19:27 pm
Is there anyone who repairs these modules? Seems like it would be a lucrative niche for some sharp engineering type.

I've replaced lamps.  I would think you could replace switches at board level.

Mainly the switch modules. I have a dead one that I would like to get repaired and carry as a spare. It has been a long time since I've done any electronic repair work, so I think if I could get it done reasonably, I would go that route.

Try M&M electronic repair. They fixed a Intellitec wiper module for me. Their phone is 419-965-3014.

I had one fixed before we bought our coach.  It was the one in the wet bay.  The failure actually caused the entire system to not function.  It's been perfect.  Our dealer was referred to a repair person by Intellitec because they no longer deal with the units.  The dealer and the person haggled and after some arguing fixed it for $50 or so.  They wanted to charge regardless of whether or not the repair was successful and this and that.  I did look at the board but I can't tell what they did.  Anyone have a spec on the backlights?  I'd love to replace them with LED's that are somewhat dimmer.

A friend (forum member CRY42) referred me to M & M Electronics in Ohio City, OH. They seem to know quite a bit about the Intellitec systems and claim to know how to repair them. However, the guy who I talked to said they don't recommend repair. Rather they will install the new version of the system for about $2300, which I thought sounded reasonable.
