I just saw a 1992/1993? U240 with a rear window over the bed. It was obviously not a factory install but does anyone have any knowledge of the rear cap structure concerning putting such a window in?
I am not sure whether I want to do it but it looks like an interesting idea if done correctly.
Different rear cap with a recessed area for the window
Lots of cold air from the rear window if in that kind of locale
I have always wondered why they did not put in a rear window somehow. After all on many sites if backed in it's the best view!

I have seen pictures of that FT with a rear window. Believe that John S stated that owner had it installed at the factory, only one I know of.

Seems like someone posted some pics. of one on here a couple of weeks ago. I'll look around and see if I can find them over in the pic. section.

On edit here is the one I saw posted the other day.

Here is a picture of our 1995 U280 . The second owner, we are the third, had some modifications done at the factory. The rear window was one of them.
How do you like it? Our previous motorhome had one, but (of course) our U320 does not. Sometimes I wonder if I miss it, but most of the time I don't even think about it.
Sure would brighten things up, especially with a BR slide.
We like it, lets in more light without interfering with the functionality of anything else. I have no information about the cost or how long it took the factory to install it. At the same time, he had the factory modify the dining area into an L-shaped bench with a roll-around table with two drop leaves.
