Just an idea? Why couldn't FOT offer excess inventory of parts and merchandise left over to members at a discounted price?
Must be a lot of "stuff" that doesn't move.
What about FOT getting quantity discounts from their suppliers and passing them on?
Just a few late nite thoughts.
They sold all their old parts to Encore a while ago.
I'm sorry John. I did say excess inventory, not OLD parts.
Well, I do not think they have much excess inventory in Nac as I have had to wait way too many times for a part.
I know as a fact that unless they are using the part in building a new coach, then the likelihood of having a part in inventory is very low. They are not keeping an inventory of stock used ten to thirty years ago. With my 2007 Nimbus, certain inventory was no longer kept since it was over five years old rule. Example, the front coil under the dashboard for dash air conditioning is not stocked nor available.

It is a concern that they do not have the parts for a 07 Nimbus even available. They need to choose better parts to install in the coaches that will be around longer.
John, I agree but the vendors used are already the best in the industry. When the vendors outsource their products overseas, the results we get in return are poor. I have seen too many products on RVs today that do not measure up to be considered long lasting. I have found that when there is a failure in the RV, nine out of ten times is is caused by a failed vendor part rather than something made by Foretravel.

They have a lot of parts for my 22 year old coach. The push button gold knobs for my interior doors. The plastic catch for my screen door. The window latches (only 2 though). And others that I can't remember. Lots of things they didn't have too. Never hurts to ask. They also have the old fiberglass molds for most everything. The made up a new bay door and a battery box for me.
see ya
