Looking for a fellow Foretravel 1995 U300 / Cat 3176B owner with a detailed BOM for his coach. Trying to identify the left and right side flexible motor mounts. Have been working with Mike Grimes, in FT parts, but no success so far. Hoping that maybe someone's been through the replacement process already.
Thanks in advance - as usual ;D
Jon,
As a backup plan you might consider doing a little reverse engineering.
I assume you already tried cleaning one very well and looking for a manufacture name and/or part number on it? Info could be underneath a mounting surface too so you might not find it until you remove it.
If you search for "engine isolator" (vs. engine mount) you'll find some of the major manufactures and they usually have dimensional drawings you can try to match to. Lord is one I'm familiar with as well as Barry Controls. There's a good chance the originals were made by one of these two.
I've always thought of the engine isolators as being one of those items that last the life of the coach. Out of curiosity, what are the signs or symptoms that tell you they are bad?
Edit:
Here a link to Lord: Lord (http://www.lord.com/products-and-solutions/passive-vibration-and-motion-control/industrial/isolators)

funny as I was talking to mike when he was helping your issue today.
james t according to mike has the only ability to release any info on the builds.
somewhere in 1995 foretravel stopped furnishing the printed BOM that were previously furnished. now pdf only. and its not released at all.
I have a 97's u270 pdf here but even it might not show exact stuff that mike may have.
may have to fab something?
Got a call from Mike yesterday afternoon advising that the correct mount had been identified (Thanks to a senior member in engineering with a good memory ^.^d ). Haven't figured out how to attach a photo yet but will post pictures of old mount after I master the learning curve :))
