Title: LED Basement Lighting
Post by: Roger & Susan in Home2 on January 26, 2015, 10:34:43 pm
In a never ending effort to go all LED I have been adding LED lighting to the basement bays.  I bought both warm white and cool white waterproof strip lighting.  We much prefer the warm white inside so I am using the cool white (higher Kelvin temperature, more blue tones) in the basement bays, engine compartment, generator compartment and the deep dark cave where the AquaHot lives.  I am at two weeks into a three week Xtreme endurance test right now.  That is another thread. I had to get something from the big bay and turned on the lights.  Wow.  I haven't really looked at it at night.  It doesn't look as blue in person as the camera saw it but it is bright.  There is about 60" of LED strip mounted just inside the opening on the ceiling.  The picture is as the camera saw it, no flash, no other lights, dark outside.

Wow! Looks great.

Just purchased a spool of LEDs to do the same with our ForeTravel. Also adding some to the interior cabinets.
