A few years back during a fishing trip the 80A auto reset CB that is between the Inteli Power and battery fell apart internally(took it apart). I didn't have anyway to replace it at the time so I just wired around it. During the troubleshooting process, we had removed the charger and checked it and it seemed to be working fine. I got confused when I read on the charger that it was internally protected, so I couldn't understand a 80A CB protecting a 60 amp charger that already was protected. I still don't understand the 80 to 60 issue. I now think I didn't understand what I was reading and it wasn't protected. Anyway the charger gave up the ghost a few months later and I didn't connect the CB to the issue. I replaced the charger with a new unit of the same size. The RV has been connected to shore power for the last 6 months and used. I noticed the charger was having a problem keeping the coach voltage in the green right after I put it in. This weekend we lost shore power for awhile and when it came back on the house battery was to the point that nothing on DC would work. The Inteli went off and never came back on. When I looked up Inteli Power and read the specs it appeared it isn't protected from excess current draw. I remember what the CB looked like and since my Foretravel wiring says 80A I think it is a Klixon CDLA-80, but thought I would just ask the group. My other question is did this RV come with a 80A Inteli Power and someone downsized it? I have temporally put a 60A charger on the house battery and it seems to be holding the coach voltage up just fine. I am now wondering did I buy a bad Inteli Power that wasn't 60A, but just said it was. I have no idea how I could check that.
