I was wanting to know if anyone has in countered a roof de lamination? James checked it and it is about 2x4' where the PO carried a spare tire on the roof.
Any suggestions on there is something that I can do or a local body shop? The soonest I can get James is middle of July and I need to be back to Illinois. Thank you
try MOT
I wouldn't hurry, if you can get it to James eventually
Pretty sure MOT sublets fiberglass/paint to Xtreme since they aren't equipped to do that work.
I had a half roof done at FOT. They worked me in within a week. Couldn't hurt to check.

Rance warned me about having anything dark up there -- draws too much heat. When we were atop mine, he pointed to a nearby U320 on which the square nonskid pad, at the top of the ladder, was nearly black from deterioration. Fortunately, they found no delam on my roof. I had XT apply DiCor around all my vents, skylight, etc. as prophylaxis.
This is one repair that you definitely want done at FOT. They do it with the original materials and they do it right. The cost is usually less than you would think.
Kemahjohn,
I would say that Xtreme is equally or more qualified to do the work on a roof delimitation. In as much as it is on the roof and not visible, either is an appropriate option, but Xtreme does exquisite work as validated by the many positive references and experiences here on the forum.
Anyway, that is my free advice, FWIW.
"They do it with the original materials" quote
The material is available to anyone and I would want new materials anyway! Xtreme is very competent as Tim mentioned and if FT cannot get you in wait till one of them is that fits your plans.

We think that no one does a better fiberglass roof repair than Rance at Xtreme Graphics. Years of experience and if you want, you can even check out the work as it progresses. Several years ago we had Rance fiberglass and gelcoat every old hole on our roof and it is impossible to tell where the work was done.
I did not have delam but had outgasing on my roof and some blisters and peeling. I had Xtreme fix it. They sanded and grinded out all the blisters and filled them in with an epoxy filler for the little ones and fiberglass for the bigger areas and then we put on the temp coat. I would go to Xtreme as Rance is an artist with fiberglass.
When I said original materials what I ment was FOT laminates a new section of roof using the original process and adhesives to match the original roof. Beware of water damage to the plywood under the de lamination, that often needs replacement as well. There are many competent folks out there who can do good work. I was more comfortable with the manufacturer of my coach, and their price was more than competitive.
James is booked solid till the third week in July.
Did not get over to FT today and the paint and fiberglass is Monday through Thursday. If still in Nacogdoches Monday will see what FT has to say before heading back to Illinois.
I have 2 small places in mine right in the middle of the roof not neer any roof penetrations. Talked to Rance about a year ago, he seemed to think it was more like debonding rather than delamination caused by water intrusion. He said just try not to step on it and don't worry about it unless it gets over neer the edge. So far they haven't chaged in 2 years.
Did you speak with James directly or Jennifer's?
I talked to James and he passed me off to Jennifer that told me they were booked solid till the middle of July. FT lot when I was over there to get a water heater was over 15 coaches and all the bays inside we're full. I guess that I picked the wrong time to come to Texas.
Gary Hawthorne (former FT employ) did a large roof repair for me about five years ago. He cut out several pieces of fiberglass, replaced the wood and glassed the pieces back together.I could not see where he had it appart.
He has a fiberglass shop south of Fortravel.
The day I dropped my coach off he was taking a coach back to MOT that he had repaired for them.
Might be worth a call or visit.

Thank you JD I called but Gary is booked solid so looks like I will return in the fall when it is less busy.
John,
Get on the schedule with somebody or you will run into the same "I'm booked story".
Maybe schedule with two shops about two weeks apart, that will help you with your schedule. Just give one of them about one month notice your canceling so they can fill that slot.
