If your Ramco mirrors are the standard setup, the lower glass in both sides is curved (convex). A flat replacement won't do the same job. Here is a link to the manufacturer - easiest thing is to contact them and tell them what you need. They are very helpful to deal with!

Look at mirror, most are attached with Velcro. Get one from manufacturer.

Old Detroit's are about as bullet proof as you can get. Heed previous advise about oil, it's important. Just take it easy and stay off interstate.

I have an 89 and I would bet you have Ramco mirrors on yours like mine has. They are still in business and are great people. They sent my some parts for free! I'll bet they could fix you up with the proper replacement glass you need for that mirror. A quick Google search will get your there contact info..
