Title: Automotive Fuse Panel - 1999 U295
Post by: Nick Cagle on May 01, 2015, 08:51:20 pm
I have lost power to the antenna booster and have been unable to locate the fuse panel.  Just inside the door is a panel of Circuit Breakers but no fuses.  I have looked under the lift up dash cover but no luck yet.  Anyone able to help.

Nick

Nick, I seem to recall that there is a panel of 12V plug in fuses under the bed, along w the 110V breakers.

I have not found any fuses either, just all the circuit breakers near the door.  Is the battery switch at the door on?  Maybe a loose connection somewhere near the antenna booster switch or the booster which is hard to find.  Is there voltage to the switch?  Bad switch or booster?  About all I can think of at the moment.  Yes, I do know about the fuses at the bed, but thought that was just interior lights, but maybe the booster is on one of the fuses.

Maybe one of the breakers in the middle bay behind the white fibreglass panel is responsible. I do not know your layout but most of us have this panel and small black breakers. There is a very small button to reset on one side of them. Try that and see.

On our 97 295 there is a fuse box at the foot of the bed.  15 amp fuse for the antenna booster.

On my 2004 the fuse is behind the panel where the booster is mounted in the pass side cabinet above the windshield.  I have routed it to be in front of the panel so it can easily be accessed if e needed.  I don't know if yours is anywhere near that but you might want to check any hidden wiring going to the booster.  Just one more of the hidden things that keep us guessing.

(My tank level calibration is set via a momentary contact switch mounted BEHIND the circuit breaker panel in front of the pass.  James T told me about that when I couldn't follow the directions in the user manual to calibrate the tanks because the wiring was different. )

Well, the fuse was in the panel at the foot of the bad.  Missed it the first time I looked there.
