I did a quick search on eBay for Foretravel items and saw a sales brochure with this description for an expensive option in 1978. It's hard to make out the word but it could be "therinasan BL" or "thenaasan BL" for a whopping $699. That represents 1% of the entire coach so whatever it was, it was coveted. Ideas?
Thetford Thermasan waste destruction system. Used coach exhaust to incinerate waste. "BL" probably indicated it was for the black tank contents.
I had a Thermasan on an FMC coach I had, worked fine. If you drove enough you never had to dump your black tank & back in the olden days (B4 the drought out west) you dumped the gray as you saw fit.
Just do not park down wind from it, I know.
Not sure I'd want to be behind a coach burning sh#t while going down the road. :o :o

Kinda like a Diesel, improper setup and it may run a little rich !
I had that system on a 82 Travco, finally corroded so bad that it could not be used. Simple operation, going down the road you pushed a button, all the stuff went thru a macerator and out the exhaust pipe. With a Dodge 440 Engine there was enough heat to incinerate and vaporize all of it. Doubt that modern EPA regs would approve.

Not to be too graphic, but urine is amazingly corrosive
You know, this could get the award for the most unexpected topic ever. Never in my wildest dreams did I think of blowing turds through the tailpipe! LOL
