Check and see if your retarder is on with the joy stick back a notch.  It will kick out the cruise too.

A quick check on the cruise  control whether it works or not . is to start engine turn on cruise control and hid set, this will activate your high idle . So if idle picks up it works .
Keep park brake on and in neutral while doing this check,

Make sure all the bulbs and the brake light switch are working and bulbs not burned out.

Three years ago the cruise control quite working, as well as all of the functions on the VIP steering wheel.  I cleaned the contact ring on the steering wheel and the problems went away.  Also, with my coach, the master 12 volt switch in my entry stairwell has to be on for the VIP functions to operate.

I've had my cruise control and other VIP functions stop working during a trip.  Pulled over, shut off and restart and all was well.  NOTHING short of that worked to get it going again though.

It sounds like your problem is the same as the problem that I encountered three years ago.  It was so long ago that I don't remember exactly what I did to gain access to the contact ring, but it was very easy, or I wouldn't have attempted the repair.

I'm thinking, that if you forget to comb your hair to the cruise control spec, the thing won't work..!
A pure pain in the butt design IMO.

Yep, mine has not worked for too long a time (& I'm supposed to know what's going on.. not.)  pc
