I have been wondering if anyone ever switched their air conditioners around on their rig. I run one air conditioner a lot more than the other one. Now after three years of running one air conditioner most of the time, I was considering taking the bedroom air conditioner, which is not used much, and swapping it with the living room air conditioner to get several more years of use. Have anyone done this before?

If they are the same type, no reason not to, and may be a good idea.
Contemplating the same move, bobnkathy. I've replaced seals so switching out would be nothing more, except muscle.
We have a fairly new Coleman AC up front and an original Dometic AC in the bedroom. We run, if necessary, the front AC when we are in bed, and the rear AC when we are up front. By doing this we end up exercising both ACs
I think there is a control board in the front AC that you might have to move that communicates with the control panel in the rig. I just run them both at the same time unless I am on 30 Amos and then I switch as was noted prior.
On our roof A/C units, there is circuit board on the side of the A/C that may need its DIP switches changed after swapping units. Then the thermostat has to be turned on in specific way to reset memory.
