Title: Right Front Passenger Seat Parts
Post by: Yetch on May 25, 2015, 02:49:43 pm
I am working on my front passenger seat.  The motorized foot-rest is not working.  The problem is the worm gear assembly is frozen.
I need to replace the worm gear assembly.  Any suggestions for replacement parts for this seat?  I am assuming it is a Flexsteel seat.
Thanks for the help.
Mike

Mike,
Our passenger seat had the same problem. It is a Villa seat. They are in Cerritos CA. Try this phone number Toll-Free: 888-707-7272. They are very aware of this problem. There website is RV Furniture from Villa International (http://www.villainternational.com/)

Hi Mike,
Keep us informed as you repair you passenger seat. I know another 1997 U320 that needs the foot rest lift repaired!
Thanks,
Raymond

Hi Mike,
We have a similar problem and will be interested in your progress - the worm gear turns but does not engage to lift the foot rest.

if Flexsteel, the chair model number may be on a piece of paper stuck under the bottom spring up inside the chair.

Flexsteel factory has good customer service and may offer you advice on your problem.

We have been to their factory in Dubuque, Phone:(563) 556-7730.

Contacted Villa International.  Mike in parts is the man to talk to.  They do not have the original part, but do have a reasonable replacement 'Transmission and Worm Gear': $55.00.  Unfortunately, I will not be back home for 2 weeks to see if it will work, but I am feeling confident that it will suffice.  Will keep you informed.
