Title: Where to Buy New Tires in Central/Northern Midwest?
Post by: ScubaGuy on June 02, 2015, 02:43:12 pm
We were hoping to purchase 6 new tires at Herman Power in Nacogdoches, but it looks like the Michelin's won't be back in stock before we head north for the summer and fall.  We will be traveling to the following Mid-West states over the next several months:

Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana

Any recommendations for a Michelin RV tire dealer in these states?  We will be buying through the FMCA program, so base price of tires should be the same.

Thanks!  ^.^d

Check Pomp's Tire Service.  Locations around the upper midwest.  They have serviced my tires, put on new valve stems, etc. Seemed OK to me.  The remounted the wheels on the coach with a hydraulic driver to get the torque just right.

Not sure if they do the FMCA program.  They have Michelins, Continental, Toyo, Hankook.

Roger.

Go to the TCI locator page

TCI is a heavy duty Michelin dealer. They know all about the FMCA program.

Talk to Michael at Tireman Auto Service Centers Ltd. 701 N Euclid, Bay City, MI 48706.  He takes the orders and does the work.  They are a Michelin dealer, and although he was not aware of the FMCA program his price for Bridgestone R283 Ecopia  LRH (with very current DOT dates) was very good, his "trade in" on old tires was better, and his knowledge and service put him on top of my list.

While in Bay City, if you are into sailing and history, take a ride on the Appledore Tall Ship as it sails from Downtown Bay City out to the Saginaw Bay.

Check the link and see if your route allows.  Best One Tire Service is familiar with the FMCA Michelin Tire Program.  If you are a member, you save lots.
